The 2025 Ford Maverick

The standard engine is a 2.5L, FHEV (Fully Hybrid Electric Vehicle) engine that delivers 191 horsepower and 155 lb.-ft. of torque. It offers available AWD on the XL, XLT, and Lariat models. Excellent for city driving but ideal for slick country roads, this engine is an all-around solid choice. The second option is the 2.0L EcoBoost engine, a gas engine providing 238 horsepower and 275 lb.-ft. of torque. The gas version of this truck is an excellent choice for those who need more power behind the vehicle for steep grades or heavy loads.

The gas engine features an 8-speed automatic transmission, while the hybrid powertrain features a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). You can also select from five driver modes for enhanced performance.

This year’s model includes two off-road choices, the Tremor, and the FX4 Off-Road Package. The Tremor offers an off-road-tuned suspension system with an electronic locking rear differential for improved control and performance. With the FX4 off-road package, your Maverick XLT features enhanced suspension, skid plates, and 17-inch wheels with all-terrain tires for true wilderness driving proficiency.

The driver benefits from a tilting and telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, adjustable lumbar support, and an intuitively placed infotainment system easily within reach.

The exterior body received an update this year. The front fascia has a bold grille design and sharper headlights, making the Ford Maverick sleek and dominating. The overall stance and body lines make a statement that this truck is powerful and top-performing.

There are functional improvements as well. The FLEXBED storage system aims to provide drivers with customizable functionality with DIY dividers and available bed lighting. It offers 10 tie-downs, and they’ve lowered the bed walls to make reaching in easier to do. There’s also an available Bed Extender that gives you up to 2 feet of enclosed cargo space. With two available 400-watt 110V outlets, including one in the bed, you can plug in a power cooler or your phone while on the go.

Ford continues to impress with Ford Co-Pilot360, FordPass App, and available SYNC 3 for your Maverick. The available B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen provides a symphony of sound quality in the cabin, while the capability of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto ensures you can listen to anything you want or chat on the phone. The infotainment touchscreen is 13.2 inches, which is the standard for all trims. You can also upgrade to include wireless charging pads.

The Maverick XL is an impressive base model featuring the 2.5L hybrid engine, FLEXBED storage system, and a suite of Co-Pilot360 features. The Ford Maverick Lobo features the 2.0L EcoBoost engine with a 7-speed quick-shift transmission and paddle shifters. It offers a torque vectoring capability, twin-clutch rear drive unit, and performance tune steering and suspension to improve driver quality across all surfaces.

Inside, it boasts ActiveX Trimmed Seats with Grabber Blue and Electric Lime Accent Stitching for a bold look. The New 2025 Ford Maverick Tremor, provides ample performance with advanced 4WD with a twin-clutch rear drive unit and a rear drive unit lock. It also features off-road tuned suspension with unique springs and shocks that improve comfort even on tough terrain.
