The base model is impressive, with a clean, rounded body and either a fastback or a convertible roof option. It offers a 2.3L EcoBoost l4 engine that gets 315 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. Nice features here include the dual bright exhaust with rolled tips, 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with paddle shifters, and the launch control.

Upgrade to the EcoBoost Premium Fastback, and you’ll enjoy the same engine with upgraded features. That includes heated and cooled front seats. The decklid spoiler, soft door rollover, and ActiveX seat upholstery are nice upgrades here, too. The auto-dimming frameless rearview mirror and nine-speaker setup are excellent. The third trim option is the EcoBoost convertible, which is everything you want in a convertible model.

The GT Coupe, GT Premium Coupe, and GT Premium Convertible are all stellar trim options from Ford, offering impressive engine performance and exceptional design. The base trim option in this style is the GT Fastback, which gives you more of the power you want and expect from the Mustang with a 5.0L Ti-VCT V8 engine that offers up to 480 horsepower and 418 lb-ft of torque for performance you’ll feel on the highway. The 3.55 limited-slip rear axle and six-speed manual transmission with rev-matching are nice.

The GT Premium, available as a Fastback or Convertible, is a true performer. It upgrades the trim model with power front seats and offers dual-zone automatic climate control. A wireless charging pad, six-way power driver’s seat with power lumbar, and soft door rollover are nice. Outside, the 190-inch Shadow Silver aluminum wheels are slick.

The Dark Horse and Dark Horse Premium Coupe are just that – the attractive, edgier, and more powerful trim options. Quite the performer, the Dark Horse brings far more power and performance under the hood with a modified 5.0L Coyote V8 engine that gets an impressive 500 horsepower and 418 lb-ft of torque. Also, take full advantage of the 3.73 TORSEN limited-sip rear axle, MagneRide damping system, and the TREMAC six-speed manual transmission with rev-matching. The unique manifold intake and open-air induction system perform as you expect.

If you want the same engine with additional features, consider the Dark Horse Premium, which features Premier Trim with Color Accent Group options, heated and cooled seats, and approach detection software. The memory driver’s seat and aluminum pedals add those nice extra touches.
