The New 2025 Ford Ranger

The new 2025 Ford Ranger offers a top-performance level ideal for off-road adventures without losing its touch for smooth highway driving. Buyers can choose several engine options. The base trim, Ranger XL, offers the 2.3L EcoBoost Engine with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Optional 4x4, electronic-locking rear differential and engine block heater can improve performance even further.

The 2.7L EcoBoost V6 engine generates 315 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque, ideal for fast acceleration. It’s available on the XLT and LARIAT. Select the 3.0L EcoBoost V6 engine with 430 lb.-ft. of torque and best-in-class 405 maximum available horsepower. You’ll find it available on the Ranger Raptor.

The interior is roomy, with space for five adults, which feels a bit bigger than the average mid-size truck. Keep yourself comfortable with the available driver memory feature, too. If you’re after flexibility that changes up no matter where you’re heading, the second-row fold-flat seating provides ample interior room. There’s even under-the-seat storage for added organization. A nice upgrade you’ll find available on the LARIAT and Raptor is zone lighting, which allows you to keep your truck lit up at night when you need to work.

Key feature options include a heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, and a wireless charging pad, all of which keep you on the road with confidence. For sound, count on the performance of the B&O Sound System, with 10 speakers, including a subwoofer, to keep you singing the whole drive home.

A new welcome change over the 2025 model is two additional inches on the wheelbase, gaining an increased approach angle for the 2025 Ranger. With the available FX4 Off-Road Package, you’ll also have access to Outboard mounted shocks and an independent front suspension, all improving a smoother performance on the road. The FX4 Off-Road Package also gives you an increased track width to boost stability.

The updated 2025 Ranger is also engineered with several features that increase tow ability, such as a high-strength steel frame and a solid rear axle. Plus, when you add the Trailer Tow Package, you gain an excellent maximum towing capacity of 7,500 pounds.

A strong look and a bold design make the Ford Ranger an excellent looker for the roadways. It also offers functional features that improve your experience, including LED headlamps with auto high beams and LED projector lamps.

For those looking to add an attention-grabbing look, there are several appearance package options available, including the STX package with 17-inch silver-painted aluminum wheels, while the Black appearance package gives you a bold, fully blacked out 18-inch wheels.

As with all of Ford’s most recent trucks, you get the best in technology and innovation in the Ranger. That includes SYNC 4A technology with hands-free connectivity. There’s an available 12-inch digital instrument cluster offering excellent resolution with intuitive menu design easily accessible from your steering wheel. Another option is the 12-inch center stack display, allowing you to have a highly visible and easy-to-navigate touchscreen with all your controls within reach.

Other available features included in the Ford Co-Pilot360 are a 360-degree camera with front, rear, and mirror-mounted side-view cameras, giving you a clear view around your entire vehicle, plus additional driver assist features such as the Blind Spot Information System.

Your next step up in the Ford Ranger lineup for 2025 gives you access to SiriusXM Satellite Radio along with the same configuration of infotainment features with a 1-year trial of Connected Navigation, allowing you to remain connected to find gas stations or help even if you don’t have a direct Wi-Fi connection.

While the drive train and transmission are the same, Ford does offer an alternative 2.7L EcoBoost engine with auto start-stop technology, giving you added power for better on-the-road (and off-the-road) performance.
