The New 2021 Ford F-150

The 2021 Ford F-150 has impressive power that can handle anything that the road throws at you. There are six engine options to choose from: a 290-hp V6, a 325-hp twin-turbo EcoBoost V6, a 400-hp EcoBoost V6, a 400-hp V8, a 250-hp turbo, and a hybrid EcoBoost V6 with an electric motor. You can fit up to three people in the F-150's regular cab, while the SuperCab and SuperCrew models can seat up to six. Those in the front seat have plenty of visibility in all models. If you ever need to map in your truck, you'll appreciate the higher trim levels with fully-reclining front seats. 2021 Ford F-150 Trim Levels

Ford offers a dizzying array of appearance packages, options, and trims for the 2021 F-150. No matter what you're looking for, there's an ideal F-150 for you. Let's look at the six trim options: XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and Tremor.

The F-150 XL is the base option that comes standard with the 290-hp, 3.3-liter V6 engine. This is paired with a rear-wheel-drive 10-speed automatic transmission. This model comes standard with the SYNC 4 infotainment system, an 8-inch display, USB ports, a Wi-Fi hot spot, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The standard configuration for this trim level is a Regular Cab and 6.5-foot bed, although you can opt for the 8-foot bed if desired.

The XLT builds off the base trim's features, adding power windows, lane keep assist, rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring, and cross-traffic alert. The XLT comes in the same configuration as the XL and is the highest trim available with the Regular Cab.

The Lariat takes the XLT up a notch with leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Remote and push-button start, a 12-inch touch screen display, and BoxLink adjustable tie-down cleats are also standard. If you're after the SuperCab, the Lariat is the lowest trim to offer it. This model comes standard with a 6.5-ft bed, but you can opt for a longer bed if you choose.

The King Ranch trim only comes in the truck's SuperCrew style. While the shortest bed length is standard, you can also upgrade to the 6.5-ft bed. The King Ranch adds an in-bed power outlet, adaptive cruise control, a heated steering wheel, intersection assist, and navigation on top of the previously mentioned features. Wireless device charging, a Bang & Olufsen speaker system, and HD radio are also standard.

The Platinum is the middle-of-the-road trim with standard features such as traffic sign recognition, massaging front seats, and power-deployable running boards.

The Limited is at the top of the F-150's lineup and only comes in the SuperCrew cab with the short bed. Standard features include a power tailgate with a deployable step, trailer backup assist, trailer reverse guidance, surround-view parking camera, and a moonroof. The Bang & Olufsen speaker system and parallel and perpendicular park assist are also standard.

The F-150 Tremor is a new offering in Ford's lineup that borrows features from the popular Raptor trim level. This model will feature the SuperCrew cab with a 5.5-ft bed, the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, a four-wheel-drive, and a 10-speed automatic transmission. If you're looking for a superb off-roader, the Tremor is it. It has standard features such as 33-inch all-terrain tires, upgraded suspension, a locking differential, a front bash plate, hill descent control, and more. Other rugged features are available, including trail turn assist and trail control, which is like cruise control for off-roaders. The 2021 Ford F-150 release date for the Tremor is set for the summer of 2021.
